LONDON (ICIS news)--Brazilian state oil company Petrobras will implement a second maintenance turnaround at its base oils plant at the Duque de Caxias refinery in Rio de Janiero in mid-October, a company source said on Tuesday.

The one-month turnaround will complete maintenance work which was postponed after an earlier stoppage in June/July was disrupted by a strike.

The company source added that not all units would be halted during the maintenance works although output would be reduced, without disclosing exact details.

Duque de Caxias is one of the largest base oils plants in Latin America.
