RPM acquires Norway’s Star Maling

TORONTO (ICIS news)--RPM International has acquired Norway-based specialty coatings maker Star Maling for an undisclosed sum, the US coatings and sealants firm said on Tuesday.

 

Star is a manufacturer and marketer of specialty coatings for industrial, offshore and marine applications in Scandinavia with annual sales of about $30.0m (€21.3m). It has been an RPM joint venture partner since 1972.

 

RPM made the acquisition through its subsidiary StonCor Group, it said.

 

RPM's shares were down 0.97%, to $23.36, in early Tuesday afternoon trading in New York.
