LONDON (ICIS news)--Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) has announced a series of October tenders, which show a total requirement of 850,000 tonnes, market sources said on Wednesday.
The tenders, scheduled for 11, 18, 24 and 31 October, total 525,000 tonnes of prilled urea and 325,000 tonnes of granular urea.
However, there is some uncertainty how much will actually be purchased, as BCIC has failed to promptly award after many of its recent tenders.
Following its tenders, results are sent for government approval which has led to some delays.
Failure to award has led to several re-tenders. For example, the 11 and 18 October tenders are re-tenders from September.
