UK clears La Seda for Amcor PET acquisition

TORONTO (ICIS news)--The UK Office of Fair Trading said on Thursday it has cleared the acquisition by La Seda de Barcelona (LSB) of Amcor’s European polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging business.

 

The UK competition authority did not immediately provide reasons for its decision.

 

La Seda de Barcelona (LSB) announced last month it would buy Amcor PET Packaging Europe for an estimated €400m ($563m).
