Crude hits new records on Turkey-Kurds tension

LONDON (ICIS news)--Crude prices continued to rise on Monday on tension between Turkey and Kurds in northern Iraq to take Brent crude on ICE Futures above $81/bbl.

By 9:30 GMT, November Brent crude had hit a new record high of $81.26/bbl, a gain of $0.71 over the Friday close of $80.55, before easing back to around $81:20.

At the same time, November NYMEX crude was trading around $84.25/bbl, having also hit a new all-time high of $84.35, a gain of $0.66 over the previous close.
