SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Sigma-Aldrich has introduced 350 Halal-certified food-grade products into its aroma chemicals product line to better penetrate lucrative Middle East and Asian markets, the company said on Tuesday.
The fine chemicals and biosciences company also plans to add a large number of Halal-certified products to its Flavors and Fragrances (F&F) aroma chemicals offering by the end of the year, it said in a statement.
“After extending our Flavors & Fragrances offer to include food-grade certified products earlier this year, we are now extremely pleased to receive Halal certification from the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America,” SAFC Supply Solutions’ marketing manager Judy Pruss said.
The F&F line is under SAFC Supply Solutions, a custom manufacturing and services group within Sigma-Aldrich.
SAFC Supply Solutions, a division of Sigma-Aldrich focusing on high-purity inorganics, offers more than 100,000 products, including some 46,000 manufactured in-house.
