HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical said on Wednesday it will unveil its polyurethane and polyolefin products unit for the footwear industry at a plastics and rubber trade fair in Germany.

The Dow Footwear Solutions business unit will debut at next week’s International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber at Dusseldorf, the company said.

Dow said it has developed a global portfolio of raw materials and systems for key components in the footwear industry, from outsole, midsole and footbed through to air bladders and moulded components.

Tony Frencham, general manager of Dow Footwear Solutions, said that although this is a newly formed unit, it is built on more than 20 years of experience in the business.
