LONDON (ICIS news)--Ethiopia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) has moved quickly to award contracts under its tender for 75,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer, traders confirmed on Friday.

Under local importer Becho’s tender, Norwegian trader company Yara International was awarded 25,000 tonnes of open origin DAP at $611.35/tonne (€428/tonne) CFRLO (cost and freight liner out).
In Gelema's tender, Ameropa was awarded 25,000 tonnes of Russian DAP at $631.38/tonne CFRLO.
Under Enderta’s tender, Turkish trader Ost Olgun was awarded 25,000 tonnes of Turkish and re-exported Tunisian product at $617.50/tonne CFRLO.
The MoARD subsequently issued a further tender for 75,000 tonnes of DAP, scheduled to close on 13 November.
