US court denies plea against Lyondell-Basell vote

TORONTO (ICIS news)--A court in Texas has denied a request for a preliminary injunction to delay a Lyondell shareholder vote on the acquisition of the company by Basell, Lyondell said on Wednesday.

The vote on the proposed $19bn (€13bn) deal would take place as scheduled on 20 November, Lyondell said.

The 80th District Court of Harris County, Texas, on Tuesday denied the request brought by Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 51 Pension Fund, Lyondell said, but did not provide details about the case.
