HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Pilots along the Houston Ship Channel resumed moving deep-draft ships in and out of port on Tuesday, following a one-day suspension due to fog, the US Coast Guard said.
The channel serves the Houston area, the largest petrochemical hub in the US.
Tuesday's fog held up more than 50 ships, according to news reports.
Fog normally shrouds the port during the late fall, the Coast Guard said.
Monday's suspension did not affect barge traffic, the group said.
