LONDON (ICIS news)--Polimeri Europa’s high impact polystyrene (HIPS) production in Feluy, Belgium, remains out of action after failing early in October due to technical problems, a company source said on Friday.
Polimeri Europa’s PS production at Feluy runs at 160,000 tonnes/year, split evenly between general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) and HIPS.
GPPS was not affected by production issues.
PS prices fell in line with upstream styrene monomer in November, but producers reported a fine supply-demand balance and several were already talking of increases for December, regardless of any possible styrene moves.
