SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--China plans to start a carbon emissions platform to curb pollution, a senior executive from the state-owned Beijing Equity Exchange said on Monday.

The exchange has completed initial research on its Beijing Climate Exchange project, said Peng Zhiyuan, general operating director. He declined to say when the platform would begin operations.

The Beijing Equity Exchange carries out auctions of state-owned assets and helps companies to restructure.
