NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India’s Vedanta Alumina Limited (VAL) is soliciting global expression of interest (EOI) for supply of 20,000 tonnes/month of caustic soda lye and 100,000 tonnes/year of calcined lime on “long-term basis”, a company official said on Monday.

The official added that the terms and conditions for tendering competition would be directly mailed to qualified suppliers to be selected from the EOI-submitting companies.
The last date for the submission of EOIs is 29 November.
The Vedanta group of companies normally contracted for supplies of caustic soda for one year’s requirements, the official added.
VAL is a subsidiary of UK-based metals major Vedanta Resources Plc (VRP).
