LONDON (ICIS news)--Kuwaiti urea producer Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) will restart its Bahrain unit on Wednesday following a scheduled two-week maintenance turnaround, a company source said on Tuesday.?xml:namespace>
The urea unit, which has a capacity of around 550,000 tonnes/year, was brought down during the second week of November.
The PIC company source reported no supply issues and said customers were not impacted as the short closure had been prepared for well in advance.
PIC has three urea plants with a total capacity of around 1.04m tonnes/year.
