SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--China’s largest bisphenol-A (BPA) producer Bluestar New Chemical Materials is expected to resume full production at its facilities only in December due to ongoing maintenance works, a company official said on Wednesday.
“We are changing the catalysts while keeping the lines running at the same time,” he said in Mandarin, adding that operating rates were currently at 60-70%.
The smaller BPA line has a nameplate capacity of 16,000 tonnes/year, while the other line can produce around 25,000 tonnes/year. Both units are located at
