NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--Jordanian phosphate fertilizer producer JPMC will not have any fresh export availability until late March/early April, trader sources close to the company said on Tuesday, due to plant turnarounds and existing commitments.

“JPMC’s plant will go into a one-month turnaround in March for planned maintenance,” the trader said, adding that commitments to India of around 50,000 tonnes/month through December-February would account for the majority of production up until then.

It had been thought that JPMC would complete its exports of diammonium phosphate (DAP) to India by the end of the year, freeing up some supply in a very tight global market.

“There will be no discussions on new DAP exports until March,” the trader concluded.

The JPMC plant has a capacity of 65,000 tonnes/month.

Other major DAP producers include the US, Tunisia, Morocco, Russia and China.
