LONDON (ICIS news)--Dow’s acrylic acid and acrylate ester plant at Boehlen, Germany, was back on stream following a maintenance shutdown, a company source confirmed on Wednesday.

The source could not give the exact time when the 80,000 tonne/year plant had been restarted. The shutdown was originally planned to last for two-three weeks from the beginning of November.

Buyers in the European acrylic acid and acrylate ester market said little disruption had been noted as a result of the shutdown due to a seasonal downturn of demand.

Other major European producers include Arkema, BASF and Rohm and Haas.
