DUBAI (ICIS news)--Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) said it was "not aware" of talks with Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC) on building a refinery and petrochemicals complex in India as reported by India's local media recently, a senior company source said on Wednesday.
"We're not aware of talks between our company and KPC regarding the project," the source said at the sidelines of the annual Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association conference.

KPC was reportedly in talks with RIL, Indian Oil Corp (IOC) and other unnamed companies regarding the project.
The proposed project is expected to produce 400,000 bbl/year of oil and about 1m tonnes/year of chemicals for use in plastics and textiles.
The conference runs from 11-13 December in Dubai.
