MUMBAI (ICIS news)--India’s SRF Industries is planning to set up a 27,000 tonne/year biaxially-oriented polyester (BOPET) film plant at a location to be determined later, the firm said in a statement on Tuesday.
The fluorochemical company is planning to invest around Indian rupees (Rs) 1.6bn ($40.5m) for the plant.
The company is also planning to set up a 15 megawatt (MW) wind power farm in Tamil Nadu at Rs92m for captive use.
SRF Industries is a leading company in technical textiles, refrigerant gases and having operating interests in packaging films and pharma intermediates sectors.
