LONDON (ICIS news)--Oxea plans to expand its neopentylglycol (NPG) capacity in Oberhausen, Germany, by 50% to meet growing global demand from environmental paints applications, the oxo products producer said on Tuesday.?xml:namespace>
"Through our measures, we were able to meet the surging demand of the world market at very short notice,” said board member Miguel Mantas, adding that Oxea had commissioned feasibility studies for additional NPG production in other regions.
Oxea said it has also significantly expanded its capacity for carboxylic acid, which is used in high-performance lubricants, safety glass, plastic and paint additives and the flavour and fragrance industry.
Oxea was not available to provide production capacities for NPG or carboxylic acid.
