Chang Chun’s China epoxy to hit capacity early 08

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Chang Chun Plastics, Taiwan’s second largest epoxy resin producer, started up its first plant in China in December as scheduled and will soon hit full capacity, a company official said on Wednesday.

“The plant is now in production and we expect to achieve 100% capacity by early next year,” he said in Mandarin.

The 50,000 tonne/year liquid epoxy resin (LER) plant is located at Changshu in the eastern province of Jiangsu.

Major epoxy resin producers include Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Dow Chemicals and Nan Ya Plastics.
