MUMBAI (ICIS news)--Nickel and specialty nickel products supplier Vale Inco's German unit plans to buy out catalyst manufacturer Sud-Chemie's 50% stake in the two companies' joint venture Alantum to become its sole owner, the Canadian company said on Thursday.
However, Sud Chemie and Vale Inco would continue to cooperate for the production and distribution of diesel exhaust gas purification catalysts for the automotive industry, based on a modified structure, it added, without disclosing any other details.
Sud-Chemie would supply Germany-based Alantum with catalytic coatings for the base material developed by Vale Inco and used in diesel emission control catalysts, it said.
