LONDON (ICIS news)--Polimeri Europa’s high impact polystyrene (HIPS) production at Feluy, Belgium, was finally running normally, a company source confirmed on Wednesday.
“The plant came back towards the end of December, as planned,” the source said. Technical problems had led to an unplanned outage in early October.
PS production at Feluy runs at 160,000 tonnes/year, split evenly between general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) and HIPS.
GPPS was not affected by production issues.
Major European PS producers include BASF, INEOS NOVA, Dow and Total Petrochemicals.
