HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Newly created chemical giant LyondellBasell has appointed several new officers. the company said on Monday.
Morris Gelb was named president and chief executive of Lyondell and executive vice president of LyondellBasell, the company said in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Before, Gelb was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Lyondell.
Alan Bigman was named chief financial officer of Lyondell and executive vice president and chief financial officer of LyondellBasell. Before, Bigman was chief financial officer of Basell.
Eberhard Faller was named vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of Lyondell and vice president and controller of LyondellBasell. Before, Faller was executive vice president corporate controlling and deputy chief financial officer for Basell.
The appointments were effective on 1 January, the company said.
Dan Smith, Lyondell's former president and chief executive, had declined an offer to become chairman of the merged company.
