LME Plastics: Europe producers hike PE, PP prices

LONDON (ICIS news)--Global and regional plastics futures prices from the London Metal Exchange are given in the table below.  

 

In cash markets, Borealis's new 330,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) unit in Burghausen in Germany is down for technical adjustments after coming on stream as planned at the end of December.

 

Producers are increasing (PP) and polyethylene (PE) prices for January across Europe, as oil and naphtha apply strong cost pressure down the chain.
