LONDON (ICIS news)--Force majeure remains in place on phthalic anhydride from Lanxess’ plant in Krefeld, Germany, a company source said on Friday.
The source added that the plant continued to produce without disclosing exact rates.
It was not clear when force majeure would be lifted, but the Lanxess source said a decision may be taken this month.
Lanxess declared force majeure on PA from the site on 30 July, 2007, following what the company described as ‘technical problems’.
The company said at the time that the declaration could be in place for weeks, and later said that force majeure would remain intact until the end of 2007.
The plant has a rated capacity of 85,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
