Turkmenkhimiya announces new urea plant tender

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Turkmenistan's state-run holding company Turkmenkhimiya announced a tender to build a new urea plant, the company said on Friday.

 

The new facility would be built at the site of an existing urea plant in Tedjen and was expected to produce 650,000 tonnes/year of urea and 400,000 tonnes/year of ammonia, it added.

 

No financial details were disclosed.

 

The Tedjen urea plant began operating in March 2005 and had a capacity of 350,000 tonnes/year.
