LONDON (ICIS news)--The European Commission has set 15 February as the deadline for its investigation into Henkel’s proposed purchase of the former ICI’s National Starch business, it said on Tuesday.

The German producer has signed an agreement with Dutch coatings company Akzo Nobel, which acquired ICI earlier in January, to buy ICI’s adhesives and electronic materials business for £2.7m ($5.3m/€3.6m).

Henkel runs home care, personal care and adhesives technologies businesses.
