Messer renames Spanish subsidiary after buy-out

LONDON (ICIS news)--Messer Group has changed the name of its subsidiary Messer Carburos to Messer Iberica de Gases, after it acquired Air Products’ share in the business, the German industrial gases company said on Tuesday.

 

Messer Group bought Air Products’ 10% stake in the Tarragona, Spain-based business in December 2007 making it a wholly owned subsidiary.

 

Messer said it was currently investing €40m in one of Spain’s largest air separation plants, due to go on stream in July.
