SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has ramped up production at its No 3 cracker in Mailiao, Taiwan, to full rate since its restart earlier this week, a company source said on Friday.
The 1.2m tonne/year cracker was restarted on Tuesday after being shut for around five days due to a steam pipe leak. It reached full operating rates on Thursday, the source said.
The shutdown was estimated to have resulted in losses of 20,000 tonnes of ethylene and 10,000 tonnes of propylene.
"We will service our term contracts as usual, but spot cargoes [for propylene] for March and April will probably be reduced," the source said earlier.
