LONDON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical’s Terneuzen 2 cracker in the Netherlands should reach full rates over the weekend after an outage halted production on 9 January, said a company source on Friday.
Dow restarted the cracker - one of three at the Terneuzen site - over the weekend of 12/13 January.
Two furnaces still needed repair work, however, so rates were only gradually lifted.
The No 2 cracker, with capacity of 575,000 tonnes/year, will go down for planned maintenance between 20 March and 26 April.
Market sources said the outage had offered a little relief to the ethylene and propylene markets, given that both were long across much of ?xml:namespace>
