HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US benzene producers have nominated February increases of 15-30 cents above the January contract settlement of $3.45/gal ($1,035/tonne or €704/tonne), citing volatile energy prices, trade sources said on Monday.
The February benzene nominations at $3.60/gal and $3.75/gal FOB (free on board) also based on volatile energy prices and the volatile benzene spot sector the past month, according to aromatics participants.
February benzene contract is expected to be settled by Thursday.
