TORONTO (ICIS news)--Henkel has named Thomas Geitner to head its adhesives technologies business and join its management board, the German producer said on Wednesday.

Geitner will assume responsibility for Henkel’s largest business sector on 1 October, succeeding Alois Linder who is retiring after 30 years with the company, it said.

“Henkel is one of the most successful adhesives companies worldwide, and the forthcoming acquisition of the National Starch businesses offers new growth opportunities,” said Geitner.

I am looking forward to this challenging task."

Geitner previously held senior management positions at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Leybold, RWE and Vodafone.
