HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Agrium plans to refile regulatory paperwork on Monday for its proposed $2.65bn (€1.83bn) purchase of UAP Holdings, a move that will give the US government more time to review the deal, the Canadian fertilizer producer said.
Agrium filed its first report with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on 10 December and again on 28 December, the company said, before withdrawing it on 11 January.
The new waiting period ends on 26 February, Agrium said.
However, the company can buy more time by withdrawing its application and refiling it.
