Nippon Oil’s olefins unit in 2-3 week turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Nippon Oil Corp’s (NOC) olefins conversion unit (OCU) is a undergoing a 2-3 week maintenance turnaround with the restart date scheduled for the end of February, a company source said on Friday.

 

The 150,000 tonne/year unit in Kawasaki, Japan, was shut down on 7 February.

 

The OCU converts crude C4 and ethylene to propylene and the propylene output from the Kawasaki unit is sold on 100% contract basis.
