Kerala Sidco in market for 60,000tonnes of sulphur

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India’s Kerala Small Industries Development Corp (Kerala Sidco) has issued a global tender enquiry for import of 60,000 tonnes of sulphur in three or four shipments, a company official said on Monday.

Of this, 18,000 tonnes should be bright yellow material in the form of granules or prills. The last date for submission of bids is 25 February. The bidders would have to keep their offers valid till 15 March.

Of the sought parcels, one should be delivered at Paradeep port in Orissa.

The remaining parcels would be dispatched to Cochin port in Kerala and/or Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu. The shipment period would be February-April 2008, the company said.

The company is a facilitator for small enterprises and is owned by the Kerala state government. It operates an industrial raw materials division that sources and distributes inputs to small enterprises.

The intermediates sourced from the domestic and overseas markets include polymer resins, fatty acid, paraffin wax, bitumen and paints.
