SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--The Taiwan contract price for January purified terephthalic acid (PTA) was settled $10-20/tonne higher than December due to improved demand and producers’ price discipline, buyers and sellers said on Tuesday.
“We managed to sell the majority of our volumes at an increase of $20/tonne compared with December,” said a source from one of the leading producers on the island, confirming the settlement at $860-870/tonne DEL (delivered).
