SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Ningbo Mitsubishi Chemical (NMC) will shut down its 600,000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in China for a 26-day maintenance turnaround beginning in early March, company sources said on Wednesday.

The plant was set to restart towards the end of the same month, said another source.

NMC is located in the eastern Chinese port of Ningbo and is a joint venture comprising Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsubishi Corp, Itochu Corp and Chinese conglomerate CITIC group.
