Europe January chlorine production falls 0.6%

LONDON (ICIS news)--Europe chlorine production for January dropped 0.6% year on year to 917,215 tonnes, industry association Euro Chlor said on Friday.

 

Average daily production in January was 1.3% above December at 29,558 tonnes.

 

Capacity utilisation of chlorine output was estimated at 85.5%, compared with 87.5% during January last year.

 

Euro Chlor said caustic soda stocks at the end of January were at 274,164 tonnes, compared with 299,778 a year earlier.
