SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--China’s Yangzi Petrochemical will conduct a maintenance shutdown of its 260,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) facility in Nanjing for about three weeks starting early next month, company sources said on Monday.

“The shutdown is for regular maintenance and (is) in conjunction with the shutdown of our cracker,” said one of the sources. Contract supplies would not be affected."

The Sinopec subsidiary had sufficient inventories to cover any shortfalls that may result from the shutdown, added another source.

Yangzi is an eastern China-based integrated petrochemical producer with facilities producing olefins, polyolefins, aromatics and many downstream products.
