LONDON (ICIS news)--A catalyst research centre jointly developed by Bayer Material Science, Bayer Technology Services and Rheinisch-Westfalisch Technische Hochschule (RWTH) was officially opened on Monday in Aachen, Germany.

“Catalysis became a key technology in the chemical industry a long time ago. We think there remains a big potential for innovation, and it is our goal to gain competitive advantages through this type of research,” Bayer said.

In September 2007, Bayer MaterialScience and Bayer Technology Services signed a five-year agreement for intensive cooperation in catalysis research with the RWTH, part of Aachen University.
