SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korean aromatics major Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Centre (YNCC) restarted it No 3 benzene, toluene and mixed xylenes (BTX) line on Sunday after an unplanned shutdown for catalyst regeneration lasting nearly two weeks, a company source said on Wednesday.
“We are increasing the operating rate at the plant,” he added.
The Yeochun-based facility produces 120,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 60,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 40,000 tonnes/year of solvent grade xylene.
YNCC is a key supplier of solvent grade xylene, along with other South Korean producers Honam Petrochemical (HPC) and LG Chem.
