LONDON (ICIS news)--Hungarian maleic anhydride (MA) producer MOL will carry out a one-week maintenance shutdown at its Szazhalombatta plant in the second half of March, a company source said on Thursday.?xml:namespace>
The 16,000 tonne/year plant was currently running at full rates but production would slow moving closer to the shutdown, the source added.
The MA market was balanced, with sources expecting demand to rise moving into March as the peak season for the downstream unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) sector began.
