US Praxair to supply new Italy polysilicon plant

TORONTO (ICIS news)--Praxair has been selected to supply an upcoming 5,000 tonne/year solar-grade polysilicon plant in Italy with industrial gases, the US producer said on Friday

 

The company did not disclose financial terms or supply volumes.

 

The plant, by Silfab in Borgofranco d'Ivrea in northern Turn province is due to start up in late 2009 with an initial capacity of 2,500 tonnes/year, Praxair said.
