MOVES: Engel appointed to BASF Board

LONDON (ICIS news)--Dr Hans-Ulrich Engel has been appointed to BASF’s Board of Executive directors, the German chemical company said on Tuesday.

 

“Engel will be responsible for Oil & Gas, Europe and Global Procurement & Logistics with immediate effect,” the company added in a statement.

 

Engel, who is a lawyer, has headed BASF’s Legal, Taxes and Insurance division since January 2008 but prior to this held a number of positions including BASF Schwarzheide GmbH managing director and the global project manager for the integration of the catalysts business acquired in 2006.

 

The board has also elected Michael Diekmann and Robert Oswald as deputy chairmen, the company said.
