SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Korea Petrochemical Industry Co (KPIC) will conduct a maintenance turnaround at its Onsan naphtha cracker starting 1 April as scheduled, a company source said on Thursday.

The cracker, with ethylene production at  470,000 tonnes/year, was expected to be shut down for 25 days, the source added.

The facility’s propylene production - 230,000 tonnes/year - and its olefins conversion unit - 110,000 tonnes/year - will also be offline during the turnaround, as will the downstream polyethylene and polypropylene lines.
