SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPC) more than doubled its February petrochemicals revenues after its output increased from bringing its new Mailiao cracker - Asia's biggest - on stream in the middle of last year, the Taiwanese major said on Tuesday.
Its petrochemicals revenues for the month rose to New Taiwan dollars (NT$) 23bn ($749.2m), from NT$11.8bn in the same period of 2007, the company said in a statement.
Revenues for naphtha also jumped to NT$7.3bn in February, from NT$2.2bn during the same period last year.
For the group, revenues in February reached NT$76.2bn, up 78.7% from the same month a year ago.
