SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Singapore-based ExxonMobil has lowered operating rates at is aromatics plant due to some mechanical problems, a source close to the company said on Monday.
Declining to reveal any further details, the source said that the output of its aromatics plant has been lowered.
The cut in its output comes close on the heels of
“This is more due to mechanical problems than economic reasons,” he said.
The facility can produce 600,000 tonnes/year of benzene, 300,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 900,000 tonnes/year of para-xylene (PX).
