SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China-based Jiangsu Dohow’s 200,000 tonne/year styrene unit in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, will be shut down for 22-25 days due to a technical issue, a contract client of the company said on Friday.
The outage was likely to add to the bullishness of the styrene market in the region and traders were building up stocks due to the optimistic sentiment, said a Shanghai-based trader, in Mandarin.
Last month, the company postponed its maintenance schedule, which was due in mid-February to the third quarter, to increase profitability.
