DSM Desotech buys US Polymeric Processes Inc

TORONTO (ICIS news)--DSM’s Desotech subsidiary has acquired US-based Polymeric Processes Inc (PPI) for an undisclosed sum to expand its UV-curable coatings business, the Netherlands chemicals major said on Tuesday.

 

Texas-based PPI produces UV-curable coatings for tube and pipe applications, a fast-growing market segment, DSM said.

 

UV coatings provide productivity gains for manufacturers and offered environmentally friendly corrosion protection of tube and pipe products, DSM said.

 

“We feel very confident that the acquisition of PPI will enhance what we're able to offer this market in terms of both technology and service," said Desotech manager Anthony Toussaint.
